Abstract

Abstract

The composition and distribution of helium and oxygen isotopes in samples of seawater obtained at depths from the surface to 300 m in the West Pacific(7°~26°N,122°~130°E) are discussed in detail.The results show that both δ¹⁸O and δ³He isoline extend eastward in the Pacific side of the Luzon Strait,which may suggest that the South China Sea water intrudes into the West Pacific by the Luzon Strait.
