NUMERICAL CALCULATION OF THE WIND CURRENT OF THE TAIWAN STRAIT
Wu Boyu
1982, 4(2): 139-148.
Abstract:
According to the model of steady wind current of the shallow waters suggested by A.F.Felizenpaum,the wind current of the Tpiwan Straits is calculated in this paper. There are altogether ninety-six computing stations in the whole waters. The step of space is 37.4km.The wind speeds are:the greatest average wind speed is 19.2m/sec in the north of the Straits,16m/sec in the south in winter and 6 m/sec in summer. The coefficient of vertical momentum exchange is only the function of horizontal coordinates.
AN EMPIRICAL ORTHOGONAL MULII-FCIORIAL METHOD DESIGNED TO PREDICT SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE ON THE PREDICTION OF MEAN MONTHLY SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE FOR THE EAST CHINA SEA AND THE ADJACENT WATERS
Dn Bilan, Song Xuejia, Zhang Jianhua
1982, 4(2): 149-156.
Abstract:
The present paper gives a regressive predicting method which makes empirical orthogonal component of sea surface temperature field to combine with that of influential complex factors feild. This method considers not only the internal relation of sea surface temperature between the stations of water area, but also the interaction between dependent variables(temperature firld)and independent variables(influential factors field),and therefore the superiority of prediction of physical variahles field is presented in this paper.Through forecasting.practice tested for two yeas.(24 months),it has been -proxed that the predicting mQthod of orthogonal complex factors field ha an advantage over other kinds of multi-factokrial predicting method used at present. Its mean absolute prediction error of the whole area is about 0.49℃.
STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF SEA FOG IN THE NORTHWEST PACIFIC OCEAN
Zhang Fuchun
1982, 4(2): 157-168.
Abstract:
In this study about 1,100,000SHRED(1958-1967)are used as the basic data.Tile statistics are made by 20°×20° grids off the coast and 50°×50° grids on the ocean, and the monthly sea fog frequency distribution charts are drawn. The seasonal v ariation, annual variation, formative condition of sea fag and its weather types are analysed, and classified.
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE ABNORMAL SEA TEMPERATURE ON THE NORTH PACIFIC AND COOL SUMMER IN HEILONGJIANG PROVINCE AND LONG RANGE FORECAST FOR IT
Xu Zhiyuan, Bai Renhai, Wei Songlin
1982, 4(2): 169-174.
Abstract:
There is a close relation between cool summer in Heilongjiang Province and the abnormal variation of sea temperature on the North Pacific. When the sea temperature is above the normal at 5°N-10°s,80°W-180°W in equator region on the East Pacific, the longitudinal degrees of the positive values in the south and negative values in the north will occur and the summer microtherm in Heilongjiang Province will occur correspondingly. The persistence of abnormal high temperature in the equator region on the East Pacific is over one year, and the microtherm process in Heilongjiang Province will be also over one year.
A KINETIC STUDY OF EXTRACTION OF URANIUM FROM SEA WATER Y TITANILM GEL Ⅲ.THE DIFFUSION MECHANISM OF EXCHANGE PROCESS
Chen Song, Xu Aiyu, Huang Xuanbao, Xu Jianzhong, Tian Chunlan
1982, 4(2): 175-182.
Abstract:
The diffusion kinetics of the ionexchange process of urarium [Ⅵ] on hydrous titanium oxide in two systems of uranium enriched seawater and one system of natural seawater has been studied according to Boyd's theory.
STUDIES ON CATALYTIC CURRENT OF TITANIUM(Ⅳ)IN POLAROGRAPHY-DETERMINATION OF TRACE AMOUNTS OF TITANIUM IN NATURAL WATERS
Wan Zhen, Yang Sunkai, Huang Huiliang
1982, 4(2): 183-190.
Abstract:
The polarographie behavior of the titanium(Ⅳ)-amygdalic acid-chlorate systetm has been stutdied. In 0.02M amygdalic acid 4% chlorate medium titanium(Ⅳ)gives a simple kinetioally controlled wave with Ep at -0.89 V vs.the S.C.E.The titanium wave is pargicu.Iarly interesting, because of its catalytic nature. As happens with mther complexing and oxidizing agents, the titanium(Ⅲ)formed at the dropping mercury electrode is oxidized back to titanium(Ⅳ).The resulting catalytic current depende on the rate of this subsequent oxidation. The titanium current allows the determination of titanium at concentrations as low as 10-9g/ml,Cu(Ⅱ),Pb(Ⅱ),Mn(Ⅱ),Cr(Ⅲ),Zn(Ⅱ)1000-fold and Mo(VI),V(Ⅴ)100-fold excess does not interfere. This method is suitable for the determination of trace amounts of titanium in natural waters(sea water, estuarine water, well water,etc.).
STUDY ON THE SUSPENDED MATTER OF THE SEA WATER OF THE BOHAI GULF
Qin Yunshan(Y. S. Chin), Li Fan
1982, 4(2): 191-200.
Abstract:
We investigatad twice suspended matter of the sea wader of the Bohai Gull in different seasons from 1958 to 1962.About 600 rtrater samples were collected using a reversed water bottle(11.in volume). The samples were filtered, dried and weighted separately:The eantent of the suspended matter was calculated by mg/1,and horizontal and vertical distribution figures of concentration ware plotted.Pacts of the samples were burned at 500℃ and the residues of noncombustible components were weighted again after the burning, and the weights lost would be the weights of organic matters.Other parts of the samples were identified by optical microscope. In addition,we analyzed chemical components of zhe suspended matter by spectrum.
A NATURAL MUTANT IN LAMINARIA JAPONICA
Fang Zongxi(T. C. Fang), Ou Yulin, Cui Jingjin
1982, 4(2): 201-208.
Abstract:
From a female gametophyte clone "LC1" which contained millions of haploid cells(Fang,et al,1978)a mutant was discovered in 1976.The mutant has been observed to be stable up to the present,The hisiory of the mutaW has been traced and analysed. It seems to be due to a natural, recessive mutation and qualitative in effect. As far as we know,it appears to be the first record of mutation in Lmninaria.
A NEW FAMILY, GENUS AND SPECIES OF ANTHOMEDUSAE FROM THE NORTHERN SOUTH CHINA SEA
Zhang Jinbiao
1982, 4(2): 209-214.
Abstract:
In the course of a detailed systematic inverstigation,Hydromedusae were collected from the Northern Part of the South China Sea during February 1978-January 1979,of which 5 specimens were proved to be a new species.A new family and genus has been erected for the species, which belongs to Anthomedusae. The diagnosis for tha new family, genus and species are as follows.
